Why farmers use it

  • Corrects sulphur deficiency and yellowing in standing crops, and increases the oil content of oilseed crops.
  • Crops need sulphur along with nitrogen to give a good yield, and sulphur is essential for nitrogen metabolism.
  • Spraying it helps the crop make full use of the other micronutrients present, so the crop stays healthy and yields more.
  • It also protects crops from diseases such as white mildew ('safed massi', i.e. powdery mildew) and from pests called spider mites.
