Research

Science that starts in our own fields

Sipani Krishi Anusandhan Farm, Mandsaur, is where we breed new varieties and prove every product before farmers use it.

A working farm and a research partner

We set up SKAF in 1991–92. In 2008 we signed a long-term agreement with the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), its first with a private organisation, and on 5 March 2018 Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary DARE and Director General of ICAR, inaugurated the IARI–SKAF Collaborative Outstation Research Centre at the farm.

Here we breed and maintain wheat, soybean, maize and pigeonpea, and every Micro product is trialled on real crops before it goes to market.
